In February of 2019 ground was broken on the 90,000 square foot NCPD Center for Training & Intelligence which will be the training and intelligence center for the Nassau County Police Department. After two years of construction we will be celebrating the inauguration of this facility with a gala honoring all involved in making this project come to life with proceeds benefiting the building and the NCPD Explorer program. The academy will not only be a training facility but also a community center focused on bringing youth from the surrounding areas into the facility for various sports and training with our officers. It will also be used by our Police Athletic League and Explorer Program which takes youth from around the county and teaches them leadership skills.
